Arwa Abouon

Photographer, illustrator and installation artist Arwa Abouon was born in Tripoli, Libya, in 1982 and raised in Canada, where she received a BFA in Design Art & Photography from Concordia University in Montreal and where she lives today.

Abouon has exhibited internationally, including “Re-Orientations: Contemporary Arab Representations”, Rose Issa Projects at the European Parliament, Brussels (2008); “Bring The Noise: Seeing Yourself In My Brown Eyes” at Salomon Contemporary, The Hamptons, New York (2007); and “Figure/Ground: Four Women and their Surroundings”, at The Third Line Gallery, Dubai, UAE (2006).
