Alaleh alamir

Alaleh Alamir’s catalogue includes photographs, engravings, installations, video and performance. She was born in Tehran, Iran in 1959 and studied at the Portland Museum Film School, Oregon (1980) before receiving her BA in Fine Arts from Reed College, Portland, Oregon (1982) and her MFA from Parsons School of Design, New York (1986). She was accepted on the Doctorate of Painting Programme at New York University (1987) for her thesis, “Numerical Systems and Colour Perception”. She now lives and works between Europe and India.
