Graham Day

Painter Graham Day was born in London in 1946, where he lives today. He received his BA from the Bath Academy of Art, Wiltshire and his HD FA from The Slade School of Fine Art, London.

He has exhibited extensively in Britain and abroad - his notable solos shows include “The Game of Life”, Gallery 66, New London, Connecticut (2006); “Plato’s Shadow”, Studio Caparrelli, London (2004); “Naive Science”, Studio Caparrelli, London (2003); the traveling solo show “Simorgh: The Conference of the Birds”, (October Gallery, London, 2002; Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, Iran and Galerie Janine Rubeiz, Beirut, Lebanon – both 2001); and “The Art of Graham Day”, Los Angeles Public Library, California (2001); “Integral Marbling”, Bibliotheque Municipale, Rennes, France (1990); “Recent Works on Paper”, Galerie Jeanne Thouard, Paris, France (1990) and “Photo-Domino”, CICL Arles, France (1988).

His work is in numerous public collections, including The British Museum and The Victoria and Albert Museum, London; The Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris; The Museum of Modern Art, New York; World Bank, Washington DC; and The National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh.
