Tehran Studio Words: the Art of Khosrow Hassanzadeh
Edited by Mirjam Shatanawi, with an essay by Rose Issa
The Iranian multi-media artist Khosrow Hassanzadeh has won a following around the world for his startling work, which often layers contemporary and historical images with his own writings. His broad range of subjects offer a commentary on contemporary Iranian society, encompassing the Iran-Iraq war, traditional wrestlers, prostitutes and characters from his life in Tehran, all rendered in his distinct and colourful style.
